We have created this page to keep the Planning Team, Elected and Appointed Officials, and the General Public in the southwest region of Utah up to date on the planning process to develop an updated Southwest Utah Multi-jurisdiction Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan. This plan update will be developed over the next 18 months (July 2015-December 2016). The purpose of the Plan is to reduce potential losses from potential future disasters by identifying hazards that impact our communities (i.e. flooding, wildfires, landslides) and actions to reduce losses from those hazards. The Plan is a Federal Emergency Management Agency (F.E.M.A.) requirement for local jurisdictions to access federal hazard mitigation assistance.
PLEASE SEE THE 2016 DRAFT PLAN PAGE FOR THE FINAL DRAFT OF THE PLAN AS SUBMITTED TO F.E.M.A. FOR THIER REVIEW PRIOR TO THE PLAN BEING PROMULGATED TO PARTICIPATING ENTITIES IN SOUTHWESTERN UTAH FOR ADOPTION BY RESOLUTION
